Back in the days before high end graphics, text adventure games were about the best form of entertainment available. You could explore worlds in your mind - much in the way that you read books, except that you controlled it. Time and time again, text adventure games resurface - with some new features, mind you, but still the same in concept. The reason is simple: Modern games are regurgitation of old stuff. How many DOOM (first person shooter) clones are there? How many wanna-be-warcraft (combat strategy) games are there? There are original ideas...but they are few and far between. The text adventure, on the other hand, is just a new plot. You can accept the fact that it's the same as all the others because solving the puzzle is always different. As a reminder to all as to just how cool Bill Clinton - and staff - really were, I want to resurface a video he (and staff) created about his last days at the White House. It's quite funny. [Thu, 04 Sep 2008 11:20:26 GMT] - Time for a little Monty Python meets Rube Goldberg (though, I think Monty Python animations are, in general, influenced by Rube Goldberg, so maybe that's a little redundant). Treasure Box is a puzzle game with some very stylized graphics where you have to figure out how to pass a ball from start to finish through a series of mini-puzzles.
