TMDC11 promotional goodie!
We, the new organisation of the upcoming TMDC11 compo, just releasd a demo template. It’s the basic framework we’ve been using in many textmode prods. Included are a basic (but running) demo with full sources and complete info about how it works and what to do with it.
TMDC11 will be the next edition of the TextMode Demo Compo, held pseudo-annualy over the ‘nets.
Submission time for TMDC in less than 1 month!
The submission period for TMDC is from 11/11 to 12/12. That means you can send your entry starting in a month from now! On our side, most of the details have been cleared out and an updated list of prizes will be announced shortly.
For those who do not know, TMDC is a pseudo annual TextMode Demo Competition. Complete information with rules and all available at http://tmdc.scene.org.
North American Sceners Interviewed
During NVScene 2008, the Demoscene.tv staff interviewed a few members of the North American demoscene:
- The Northern Dragons
- s_tec / Trailer Park Demos
Besides these two interviews, Demoscene.tv has good coverage of NVScene itself, including hall fly-bys, interviews with the organizers, footage of the competition screenings, and even some Rob is Jarig dance action.
NVScene is over!
Visitors from North America and Europe alike were treated to some amazing seminars and demos this past week, all in a top-notch HD theater-like setting. For a one-stop-shop for downloads, reviews, results, and (eventually) photos, visit the NVScene 2008 page at Pouët. A Winnebago parked outside also proved quite the attraction, photos are here. We will link to videos of the seminars when they’re available, or keep an eye on nvision.scene.org.
We’ve added North American attendees to NVscene (let us know who’s missing), and will add the NA entries soon.
Thanks to Gargaj, Gloom, Steeler, and Temis for making NVScene possible!
Parenthood (a minor impact on creativity)
Also, a little late, but congratulations to D. Travis North (aka Coplan / Fulcrum) on the birth of his baby daughter on July 29th! His European compadres even made a demo in his honor for Buenzli.
Pre-NVScene notice…
If you see something about “RVScene“, it’s not a typo…
