Phoenix Swimming

Started working with MadTracker 2 lately. Most of the stuff I've produced hasn't amounted to very much, but occasionally something comes out of it. This is exploring my electronica style again. Hope you like it.

Natural Grown Killer (Final)

Finally managed to finish the final, after the Newyear festivities, exams-by-proxy and some relaxation time after that.. The final version adds some effects that were planned but left out due to lack of time at the partyplace: the leafs on the plant and the raster-effect on the credits, plus various small fixes. There's still a lot of things that *could* be improved, but I'd rather spend my time on a new production :)

Fish Light

Fish Light el blanco [fulcrum] 5:32

After a bit of a lull and constant interruptions by real-life(TM), finally, another tune.

I really focused on VSTi usage in this one. Pretty much all the instruments (except for the drums) are VSTis.

I really enjoy using the Angular Momentum Additive Table Synth by Laif Oddson & Thomas Weber. Just love those delicious sounds it puts out. If only it didn't crash madtracker all the time! I mainly used some presets with a few minor tweaks.

The piano is Steinberg's "The Grand" run through MT2's flanger to make it fit in with the trance sound.

Natural Grown Killer (fixed party version)

Here is the party version (minus a crash) of our third demo, which we started making three years ago. It took us slightly longer than expected :) There's still a lot of things to fix up for the final version, so that may take another month or so (cross your fingers).

It placed 7 of 12 at TUM 2007, which was less high than we had hoped, but we admit the weird story isn't to everyones taste ;)

Accidental Ray of Sun (Piano Mix)

Accidental Ray of Sun (piano mix) el blanco [fulcrum] 5:08

I really liked the full mix of Accidental Ray of Sun. I also really like playing around with Steinberg's The Grand. I realized the song could be adapted to a piano only tune without much complication -- so I arranged it for the VSTi.

Turned out really nice.

Accidental Ray of Sun el blanco [fulcrum] (4:05)

This is my second tune for fulcrum. This started off completely different, and rapidly turned into this as I messed around with the original 4 parts of the phrase/progression. I just kept tossing on and removing layers until I found something I really liked. Structurally it's pretty boring, the same thing over and over with new layers here and there, one key change up 3 half-steps, climax....then work it's way out.

Actually ended up rather nice in the end.

Iridescence final version

Submitted by Seven on Tue, 2007-10-02 18:37. | |

I've finished the final version of Iridescence, adding the long-missing setup dialog, used a standalone exe instead of an exe/bat combo, and fixing a crash on older machines (I set up a large pixel buffer for certain effects that weren't used in this demo... Seems old ati 9800 cards don't like that). The content hasn't been changed, it's not that I'm 100% happy with it but I prefer making new demos instead of revising old ones :)

Blue Street

Blue Street el blanco [fulcrum] a hair over 3 minutes (like 3:05)

This song has quite a few firsts for me. It's my first tune since joining [fulcrum], my first Mad Tracker 2 tune, and the first new song I've written in like...5 years.

It's a bit slow, but so am I now that I'm getting older. Enjoy.

Fulcrum Members are Everywhere

[drone] was nice enough to do some minor research, and he created a very nice Google Map showing where we all live. One testament to the evolution of the Demoscene: It's rare that group members are from the same city.
